The Water Park Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily
operations of the water park, ensuring the park provides a safe,
enjoyable, and high-quality experience for guests. This role
involves managing staff, maintaining safety standards, budgeting,
marketing, customer service, and working to improve park
performance and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of park operations,
including water attractions, guest services, safety protocols, and
staff management. Develop and implement daily operations schedules,
ensuring adequate coverage of all areas of the park. Monitor and
evaluate the effectiveness of park operations, making adjustments
as needed to ensure smooth operations. Ensure that all park
facilities and attractions are properly maintained and cleaned.
Staff Management and Training: Supervise and manage a team of
supervisors, attendants, and other staff. Conduct staff
recruitment, hiring, and performance evaluations to build and
maintain a high-performing team. Provide training and development
programs to ensure staff are knowledgeable about safety procedures,
customer service, and operational standards. Schedule staff and
ensure proper staffing levels during peak hours and special events.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations,
including local, state, and federal requirements. Conduct regular
safety audits and inspections of park facilities, rides, and
equipment to maintain high safety standards. Oversee emergency
procedures, staff training in emergency response, and preparedness
for accidents or incidents. Ensure staff maintain certification and
are fully trained in CPR, first aid, and water safety protocols.
Guest Services and Experience: Ensure guests receive excellent
customer service throughout their visit, addressing concerns or
complaints promptly and professionally. Monitor guest experience,
including wait times, cleanliness, and overall park satisfaction.
Implement guest feedback systems to collect insights and
continuously improve the guest experience. Oversee the operation of
guest services such as ticketing, food concessions, and rental
services. Marketing and Revenue Management: Collaborate with the
marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns,
events, and special offers to attract visitors. Develop strategies
to increase park attendance, boost revenue, and maintain strong
seasonal operations. Monitor sales performance, ticketing, and
revenue metrics, and report on financial performance to upper
management. Manage park budgets, track expenses, and ensure
financial efficiency in operations. Maintenance and Facility
Management: Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure that all
equipment, water attractions, and park amenities are in good
working condition. Oversee the upkeep of facilities, including
restrooms, food courts, and other guest areas. Ensure that park
landscaping, signage, and common areas are well-maintained and
aesthetically appealing. Event Coordination and Special Programs:
Organize and oversee special events, such as themed nights, group
bookings, and seasonal celebrations. Ensure that events are
well-executed, including managing guest attendance, staffing, and
operational logistics. Budgeting and Financial Oversight: Prepare
and manage the annual operating budget for the water park,
including expenses related to staff, maintenance, marketing, and
supplies. Ensure cost-effectiveness in all aspects of park
operations, from staffing to purchasing supplies and equipment.
Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying areas to
reduce costs or increase revenue. Requirements: Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business
administration, or a related field (preferred). Relevant
certifications in water safety, lifeguarding, or emergency response
may be required. Experience: Previous experience in a management or
supervisory role within a water park, recreation, or hospitality
setting. Strong background in staff management, customer service,
and operations. Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills
with the ability to manage multiple departments and staff.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with
guests, staff, and upper management. In-depth knowledge of water
park operations, safety regulations, and guest service standards.
Financial management skills, including budget preparation, expense
tracking, and financial reporting. Problem-solving skills to
address guest issues, staff concerns, and operational challenges.
Certifications: Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguarding.
Water park safety or management certifications may be beneficial.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors
for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds and assist
with physical tasks when necessary. Ability to respond to
emergencies, including managing crowds and directing staff
efficiently. Work Environment: The Water Park Manager works in a
busy, outdoor environment, with varying weather conditions. Shifts
may include weekends, holidays, and evenings, especially during
peak seasons. The job may require long hours, particularly during
