Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Baton Rouge, LA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,056 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: State or compact licensure required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required Must-Have: - Travel experience required - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with charting systems Description: Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical specialty. The role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients on a general surgery unit. Nights are the primary shift required, with a patient ratio of 6. The unit handles various robotic and laparoscopic-assisted procedures. Common surgeries include bariatric procedures, colon resections, thyroidectomies, hernia repairs, and gallbladder surgeries. Staff may also care for medical-surgical patients alongside surgical patients. Nurses will utilize skills in IV management, medication administration, and wound care. Team support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and rapid response teams. This position requires adherence to isolation precautions and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
