Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Baton Rouge,
Louisiana, 70809! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours
per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 Years in Labor and Delivery License:
State or compact licensure required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN
Advanced, FHM, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate
Must-Have: Mother/Baby experience required Travel experience
required No local candidates accepted Description: Responsible for
providing care in Labor and Delivery. Requires 3 years of
experience in Labor and Delivery. Experience with Mother/Baby care
is essential. Charting system experience is required. Must be
familiar with Community Hospital experience. Charge experience is
preferred. Patient ratio experienced must be 2:1. Facility births
per month should be between 200-300. Capacity to assist with
procedures such as amniocentesis and sterile speculum exams is
necessary. Must be knowledgeable about various conditions including
pre-eclampsia, uterine rupture, and postpartum hemorrhage. Adept in
identifying abnormal fetal heart rate patterns and administering
appropriate interventions. Skills in neonatal resuscitation and
general anesthesia are preferred. Ability to perform postpartum
assessments, including fundus, lochia, and incisional care.
Position involves caring for neonates, adolescents, adults, and
geriatrics. The daily census consists of approximately 3-5
patients. Unit employs couplet care for families. Staffing requires
collaboration with interdisciplinary support. Candidates must
demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and quality care.
Responsibilities include both labor and recovery of patients.
Knowledge of patient education regarding infant care and
breastfeeding is key. Must be available for weekends as needed.
Candidates are expected to float within the hospital if required. 5
