About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Wound Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per
Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year of
travel experience required License: State or compact licensure
required Certifications: BLS, WOCN certification strongly preferred
Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Travel
experience required Description: Wound care nurses are responsible
for the assessment and management of wounds and ostomies.
Candidates must have experience with catheter management, both
urinary and fecal incontinence programs, and ostomy care. Skills in
managing various types of wounds, including pressure ulcers, venous
and arterial ulcers, are essential. Knowledge of debridement
methods and wound vac therapy is required. Candidates should have
experience in patient and family education on wound care and the
management of chronic conditions. Familiarity with infection
control protocols and the use of personal protective equipment is
essential. Interdisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare
professionals is expected. Candidates should possess strong
assessment skills and an understanding of various wound care
products. Strong communication skills and the ability to work
within a team are necessary for success in this role. A commitment
to continuous learning and improvement in patient care practices is
