Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/18/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift contract requiring a LA or compact license, Epic experience, and a minimum of two years' ICU experience. Responsibilities - Work in the ICU unit with a primary 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, occasionally flexing to 1:3 - Floats to all ICUs and may float to ED or PACU to care for ICU patients, or to MS/PCU units with 1:4 ratios - Performs lab sticks, EKGs, and line starts - Utilizes equipment such as Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA pumps, Servo I ventilators, Fresenius CRRT Dialysis machines, Edwards cardiac monitors, Medtronic EVD Management, Arctic Sun TMS, GE monitors, Hill Rom beds, Pyxis station, Veratron bladder scanner - Epic EMR experience is required - Night shift (3x12 hours), 19:00 - 07:30 - Four weekend shifts are required every four weeks - No call required - RTO is limited to 5 days total for the contract duration - Nurses are responsible for initiating labs, EKGs, and IV line starts - Care for a mixed ICU patient population, including potential COVID-19 patients - Complete pre-start online modules as required by specialty - Scrub color and dress code details will be provided during onboarding Requirements - Active LA or compact RN license required - Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS are required (CPI can be obtained onsite for a fee) - At least two years of recent ICU nursing experience required - Epic charting experience required - Must be able to care for COVID-19 and isolation patients and know your N95 mask size - Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate - Any former permanent employees must be separated for at least one year to be considered Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628976.
