Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/18/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel \n Job Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with a LA or compact license and recent Epic experience for a night shift assignment. \n \n Responsibilities\n Position is in an ICU unit within a hospital setting Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), 19:00–7:30 Required to work four weekend shifts per four-week schedule Patient ratio typically 1:2, may flex to 1:3 Will float to all ICUs and may float to ED or PACU for ICU patient care; occasional float to MS/PCU with ratios up to 1:4 Nurses perform all lab draws, EKGs, and line starts Utilizes equipment such as Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA pumps, Servo I ventilators, Fresenius CRRT dialysis machines, Edwards cardiac monitors, Medtronic EVD management, Arctic Sun TMS, GE monitors, Hill Rom beds, Pyxis station, and Veratron bladder scanners Epic EMR experience required Responsibilities include comprehensive ICU patient care, all lab sticks, EKGs, and starting lines Expected to provide care for a variety of critical cases including isolation patients Strict policy limiting requested time off to 5 days total Pre-employment modules required and completed prior to start date Facility-specific holiday coverage may apply First-time travelers are not specified as restricted Candidate's driver’s license/ID may be used to verify travel eligibility \n \n Requirements\n Active LA or compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years recent ICU nursing experience required Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIH Stroke Scale (CPI can be obtained onsite for a fee) Epic EMR experience is required Must be able to care for COVID-19 and isolation patients and know N95 mask size Must live more than 75 miles from the facility for eligibility as a traveler Former permanent employees at any LCMC facility must have at least a 1 year separation to be eligible \n Benefits\n High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts \n American Traveler Job ID P-624610.
