Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/18/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with Epic proficiency and a valid LA or compact license for a night shift assignment. Responsibilities - Work in the ICU within a hospital environment - Patient ratios are typically 1:2, occasionally flexing to 1:3 - Required to float to all ICUs and may float to the ED or PACU to care for ICU patients; occasional floating to MS/PCU with a 1:4 ratio - Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30) - Four weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule - No call responsibilities - Utilizes equipment such as Alaris IV pumps, CADD PCA pumps, Servo I ventilators, Fresenius CRRT dialysis machines, Edwards Lifesciences cardiac monitors, Medtronic EVD management, Arctic Sun TMS, GE monitors, Hill Rom beds, Pyxis medication station, and Veratron bladder scanner - Epic EMR experience required - Nurses are responsible for providing care to COVID-19 and isolation patients as needed - Knowledge of N95 mask size is required - Responsibilities include all lab draws, EKGs, and starting IV lines - Pre-start education modules must be completed prior to start - RTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days for the contract Requirements - Active LA or compact RN license required - Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience - Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS (CPI can be obtained at the facility) - Experience with Epic EMR required - Must be able to perform lab sticks, EKGs, and line starts - Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel status - Any previous permanent employee at an LCMC facility must have been gone for at least 1 year to be considered Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624619.
