should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible
for: A Test Flight Mechanic performs any and all tasks associated
with Landing Craft Air Cushion post-production mechanical and
electrical/electronic systems testing and maintenance as assigned
by management. Responsibilities J ob duties include but are not
limited to: Mechanical system test conduct Mechanical system
troubleshooting & resolution Conduct maintenance on mechanical
systems Mechanical support for craft operations – on ramp &
underway Tube/Hose fabrication & assembly, shipfitting, mechanical
schematics layouts, hook-ups, and installation Must be able to work
from Engineering drawings, sketches, blueprints, schematics and
follow written/verbal instructions. Perform job duties with the use
of basic hand tools such as screw drivers, pliers, wire cutters,
drill motors, sand and grinding tools, etc. Maintain records,
forms, and logs as required. Performs other related duties as
assigned by management. Qualifications Education: High school
diploma or GED certificate. Position Requirements: Formal craft
training and one (1) or more years of related experience,
preferably in post-production marine vessel or aircraft testing
Ability to read blueprints, shop orders, sketches, and drawings is
necessary to the completion of tasks or work. Must be able to
perform basic (simple) shop mathematics. Must be willing to work
rotating shifts. Willingness and flexibility to work extended hours
as needed to accomplish the task or work with little or no prior
notification. ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMAND REQUIREMENTS: Physical
demands described have been validated by on-site job analysis. They
are representative of the physical demands that must be met by an
employee to successfully and safely perform the essential functions
of this job. The following information is a synopsis of key
physical demand requirements determined from a detailed job
analysis: Overview \: Non-Climate Controlled Environment (Extreme
Heat & Extreme Cold); Elevated Heights; climbing; crawling; using
ladders; stairs & ramps; frequent/prolonged lifting(35 pounds
single lift & 70 pounds team lift); repetitive motion of different
extremities, confined spaces; tight spaces; Radiographic Activity
Environment; Magnetic Wave Environment; Working with Chemicals;
etc… Postural: Must have the ability to move extremities and spine
throughout a sufficient range of motion that will permit the
employee to work in a variety of postures involving a range from
floor to overhead level. Flexing and twisting of the trunk and
other awkward postures are occasionally required. Dexterity : Must
have a good dexterity and frequently use one and two hands
throughout the work period for tasks involving fingering, gripping
and manipulation. Cardiorespiratory Demand : Must have sufficient
cardiorespiratory fitness to be able to perform medium work
involving heavy lifting. Must be able to safely tolerate medium
demands on the cardiorespiratory system in various temperature
ranges and humidity. General Physical Activities : Include
standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, body
twisting, sense of touch, manual dexterity, speaking clearly,
seeing distant/reading, reaching, hearing, depth perception, color
vision, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders,
climbing stairs and balancing. Physical Demand Level - Medium :
Must be able to perform medium physical labor as classified by the
United States Department of Labor. Physical demands typically
involve lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling not to exceed 60
