Tech plays a critical role by preparing rental properties for new
tenants efficiently and to high standards. This position ensures
that all units are cleaned, repaired, and maintained to meet
company quality guidelines and local regulations before occupancy.
The Make Ready Tech collaborates closely with property managers and
maintenance teams to address any issues promptly, enhancing tenant
satisfaction and retention. This role requires a proactive approach
to identifying and resolving maintenance needs, ensuring properties
are safe, functional, and visually appealing. Ultimately, the Make
Ready Tech contributes directly to the operational success and
reputation of the property management company by delivering move-in
ready homes on schedule. Minimum Qualifications: High school
diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving
record. Basic knowledge of general maintenance and repair
techniques. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform
physical labor. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow
instructions. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in
property maintenance, custodial work, or construction. Familiarity
with common tools and equipment used in property maintenance. Basic
knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Experience
working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities: Conduct minor repairs such as patching drywall,
painting, replacing fixtures, and fixing doors or windows. Inspect
properties to identify maintenance or safety issues and report or
address them as appropriate. Coordinate with vendors or contractors
for specialized repairs or services beyond the scope of routine
maintenance. Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials
used, and time spent on each unit. Ensure compliance with health,
safety, and building codes during all make-ready activities.
Communicate effectively with property management and leasing teams
to prioritize unit readiness and turnover schedules. Skills: The
Make Ready Tech uses their technical skills daily to perform
cleaning, repairs, and inspections that ensure rental units meet
quality standards. Attention to detail is essential for identifying
issues that could affect tenant satisfaction or safety.
Communication skills are used to coordinate with property managers
and contractors, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
