Job Description:
Drax Group plc, a pioneering leader in the UK's energy sector,
is seeking a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to
join our Engineering & Maintenance team. This role is pivotal in
enhancing our operational efficiency and helping us achieve our
commitment to a zero carbon, cost-effective energy future. The
successful candidate will be integral in maintaining and improving
the electrical and instrumentation systems that support our power
generation and electricity distribution operations. Perform routine
and emergency maintenance on all electrical and instrumentation
equipment to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
Contribute to the installation and commissioning of new electrical
systems and instruments. Diagnose and repair faults in complex
electrical systems and instrumentation. Ensure compliance with
health and safety regulations and quality standards. Read and
interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support improvements
and resolve operational challenges. Document maintenance activities
and generate reports on equipment performance. Participate in
continual education and professional development to keep skills
current as technology evolves. Proficiency in troubleshooting and
maintaining electrical systems and instrumentation. Strong
understanding of PLCs, SCADA, and DCS. Familiarity with industry
standard software tools for diagnosis and configuration. Effective
communication and collaborative skills. Ability to read and
understand technical drawings and schematics. Medical Insurance
